The
adventure started on a sunny morning in LA, (the last time we
would see the sun for 14 days!), here we load up in two vans
for the trip to LAX.
We
talked the LAX Security Guys into letting us curbside check
and drop off with all the commercial vehicles. (We flashed our
brand new military IDs and our "Orders" from the Dept. of Defense
to convince them we were important enough, and not a threat
to airport security) It worked! thankgod, we had 23 pieces of
excess luggage! (we brought our own sound system, as well as
instruments/amps/drums/ and of course, our wardrobe for the
shows!!)
The
band from the left, Cassie (lead vocals/guitar), Jon Mattox, (drums)
Geoff Pearlman (guitar/vocals), Darren Elpant (sound), Shane Soloski(bass),
and me (vocals and guitar).
Our first
run in with the military--LAX Armed Security Guards--this was
taken after we had to take our shoes off to go thru security!
These guys were sooo funny, they left their post to let us take
this picture, since they wouldn't allow it in the secure area.
