Greenland

Bowling

Bowling

On Thanksgiving, the cops fixed us a fabulous homecooked turkey dinner (here we are with Shep, our favorite cop, and the Chief of Police!) Later we went bowling with several of our new Danish and American friends from the base!

Cassie and Santa

Cassie discovered Santa bowling right next to us!....we were only 800 miles from the North Pole!

Karaoke

The next night we were all invited back to Karaoke Night. Here the band and Darren ham it up. (They are so shy!)

GC Jackets

GC (Greenland Contractors) was the company from Denmark who kept the base running. We HAD to have one of their jackets, so our Danish friends hooked us up!!

Dundee

We stopped by Colonel Whiteheads office where they gave us a photo of "Dundee" the iceberg mountain adjacent to the base (which we could have seen had it been light enough), and thanked us profusely for brightening their week.
